Southern Alps – Alpe d’Huez – June 2019
We had 2 custom trips running in the Southern Alps at the same time, as this region grows in popularity with our guests, all wanting to tick off these well-loved climbs.
This group of 6 friends also started off their trip at our base in the Northern Alps, making time for a ‘warm-up’ ride up the Col de Croix Fry as soon as they arrived, before heading off to the Southern Alps early the following morning.
Over the next few days they ticked off many of the infamous climbs in the area, including Col du Galibier, Col du Telegraph, Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du Glandon and the popular Alpe d’Huez.
They returned to the our base, the Aravis Lodge for their final night, where they went out for a slap up meal to celebrate their achievements. A wonderful way to round off a successful and most enjoyable weekend, experiencing the best of what the French Alps has to offer.
